CASHT Sports League Session-2 concludes in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi,  (Parliament Times) : Center of Advanced Studies in Health & Technology (CASHT) Sports League Session-2 (CSL-2) concluded in Rawalpindi, says a press release.

Renowned educationist and Member Punjab Board of Technical Education, Majid Afzal was chief guest at the opening ceremony of CSL-2.

Speaking on the occasion, Majid Afzal appreciated the sportsman spirit exhibited by the participants of the league. He said “ Sports is the practice of life lessons; how one fails, retries, learns from setbacks and come back stronger each time.” He further added; “The biggest take away lesson from these leagues is team work.”

The play offs of the cricket tournament were played between Markhor 11 Vs Hustlers and Contenders, Titans VS Gladiators, Bright Fighters VS Defenders and Wild Wolf. After the hard-core matches and super over matches, Markhor 11 and Bright Fighters made it to the finals. Following a close contest, Bright Fighters, representing engineering department, stood out as the best team of the tournament. A friendly match between faculty and students was also held which was won by faculty team.

The final day of the league was held at the Shahbaz Shareef Sports Complex. Badminton and Table Tennis matches were played between the departmental representatives. DPT gladiators won the Girls Badminton, while Male Badminton Finale was a thriller between Bright Fighters and DPT Gladiators, team Bright Fighters from engineering department stole the title of champs of badminton.

At the concluding ceremony, Majid Afzal distributed prizes among the winners.
