    Bistaar Gokdan
Sir, Suicide according Merriam Webster is “ The act or an instance of taking one’s own life voluntarily and intentionally or ruin of one’s own interests or one that commits or attempts suicide”. To draw your attention let me add that Balochistan emerges with growing distinguished issues which are uncountable as after each day she meets a new headache. According to the revealed report of the website of Balochistan Post, 45 recent cases were reported in this said year, and among them seven were women. Similarly, as for the human rights commission of Pakistan, around 1,735 persons attempted suicide in 2020, of this number 1,086 were men and 649 were women. The experts believe the reasons why suicide has become a common option which includes the followings, rise of unemployment, bad relationship, depression, incomplete needs, lack of catharsis, unsupported family, social structure or financial insecurity, drug etc. The report revealed by UNO in 2021 suggests the suicide is the fourth leading cause of the world annual death toll. It looks that mental sickness spreads and is ruling the native of Balochistan. For your kind information let me add that suicide or attempt to suicide is an offence under the said section 325 of PPC, and the punishment of the offence under the said section is one year simple imprisonment, liability to fine or both as well double punishment including spiritual because suicide is morally considered bad, religiously considered a sin and legally recognized a legal wrong. At last, the government of Balochistan has to solve out a logical solution; the duty of new generation is to spread awareness and conduct awareness campaigns in order to result a mentally a strong society while suggesting that suicide is not the only way to face the problems of life. We have to fight against the hardships to live a successful life.
