No place for thieves, gangsters, drug dealers & land grabbers in Lahore: CCPO

Lahore: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has said that there was no place for thieves, gangsters, drug dealers and land grabbers in the city and Police would deal with them with iron hands. He expressed these views on the occasion of awarding Commendation Certificate (CC-1) and cash award to the SHO police station Shadman Sub-Inspector Aslam Shafi for his excellent performance against gangsters and land grabbers involved in injuring citizens with firing and stabbing.DSP Development Mustafa Hasan, PSO to CCPO Lahore Inspector Sarwar and other police officers were present on the occasion. SHO Shadman Aslam Shafi had arrested the three accused in the firing and stabbing of citizens in Tolitin Market within an hour of the incident of crime. CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar had invited SHO Shadman to his office at Capital City Police Headquarters to encourage and award him for excellent performance against the culprits. Ghulam Mahmood Dogar lauded the performance of SHO Shadman and directed him to continue his brave efforts with the same zeal and passion against evil segments of society and serve the humanity with sense of pride.CCPO Lahore further said that officers and officials with excellent performance would continue to be encouraged at all levels. It is pertinent to mention that the accused criminals had fired heavily with the intention to kill the citizens in the Tolitin market a few days ago, which had created harassment among the citizens. The accused had stabbed Abdul Rehman and injured him with a knife whereas Hamza and Sameer were injured by firing. The accused had fled from the spot. SHO Shadman Aslam Shafi, using professional skills and modern technology, arrested all the accused in a record period of less than an hour. A case has been registered against the accused in Shadman police station and further investigation is in process.
