FAISALABAD: The Zila Markaz for Right to Information Act has been established in DC office under Punjab Information Commission to provide information to the citizens under this Right to Information Act.
The Markaz was formally inaugurated by Chief Information Commissioner Mehboob Qadir Shah and the Deputy Commissioner, Imran Hamid Sheikh. Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Kashif Raza Awan, Professor Dr. Jalal Arif from Agricultural University, In-charge District Emergency Operational Center, Muhammad Sadiq and other officers were also present on this occasion. The Chief Information Commissioner said that citizens will be assured of providing the required information from the office of the Public Information Officer at DC office after establishing Markaz here. He informed that the Zila RTI Markaz has been establishing in each district of the province. He thanked the district administration for this coordination. The Deputy Commissioner said that under the vision of Punjab Information Commission the said information shall be provided to the citizen under RTI act.
Further the Assistant Commissioner Tehsil City Waqas Safdar Sikandri has requested to the Deputy Commissioner for the issuance of Show Cause Notice to 13 Price Control Magistrates for not showing complete actual regard to their official responsibilities regarding price control mechanism. He said that Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh has directed to conduct regular price checking and uploading the data at Qeemat Punjab App but DO Water WASA Shahbaz Latif, Community Development Officer PHED Irfan Riasat, District Sports Officer Sajida Latif, Chief Officer District Council Ghulam Dastgir, Director Operation WASA Muhammad Ejaz Latif, Population Welfare Officer Kashif Habib, AD Agriculture Extension Dr. Khalid Iqbal, Tehsildar City Rana Sajid, DD Agriculture Extension Khalid Mehmood, Niab Tehsildar City Saeed Ahmad, AD WASA Muhammad Izhar ul Haq, Deputy Chief Officer MCF Amjad Ali and Director WASA Kamran Raza price Control Magistrates despite repeating the directions and reminders have failed to file data imposed to profiteers, registering FIRs and sealing of premises etc; therefore DC was informed for taking the disciplinary action against all those who have no interest in public welfare.
