FAISALABAD: The Deputy Commissioner, Imran Hamid Sheikh has ordered the local government department to shift the rooms used in the Human Rights Center for Women of Islam Nagar till the next week so that, the building can be used only for the Women Center. The Deputy Commissioner visited the Human Rights Center for Women and while reviewing the condition of the rooms used by the Human Rights Center for Women, which is managed by the Social Welfare Department, he said that the problems faced by the institution working for the rehabilitation of women victims of violence have been resolved for a long time, in
this regard, instructions have been issued to shift the office of the Union Council from the same building. Deputy Director Social Welfare Amna Alam informed the Deputy Commissioner about the problems caused by the office due to the Union Council office in the Women Protection Center. After giving a briefing, the Deputy Commissioner directed the ADCG and Assistant Director Local Government to visit the center immediately and assured the officers of Social Welfare and Baitul Mal that by next Friday, the office of the Union Council will be shifted from the Women Protection Center to another one and the entire building will be handed over to Social Welfare and Baitul Mal.
