Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : The bereaved family members of Farooq Ali, a British citizen from Azad Kashmir, who was allegedly killed in Islamabad’s Ramada Hotel, have requested Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the British High Commission Islamabad to determine the culprit. In a press conference, the family members emphasized that Ramada hotel management was involved in Farooq Ali’s murder as Farooq Ali’s postmortem was not allowed. Lawyer Sharafat Haso said that Farooq Ali was killed on 11th or 12th March 2022 in the early hours of the hotel. However, his body was only “discovered” on 16 March 2022. He added that Islamabad police tried to close his case on the first day, gave false statements in Urdu, lied about samples taken and did not take fingerprints as well as denied the FIR.
Victim’s family believed that the hotel management and staff were paid to kill Farooq Ali. They believed that General Manager Afzal Mirza, Chief Security Officer Khalid Zaheer, Duty Manager Muhammad Zaheer, Front Desk Manager Abbas Gul, Obaid Abbasi, Housekeeping Supervisor Bihar Ali, Talha Khurshid and Hamid Nawaz are involved.
