Paris – The world’s powerful countries and international human rights organizations are urged to take action against the systematic human rights abuses committed by the Indian government in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK). The world at large is earnestly appeale take serious notice of violations in IOJK. This is the summary of the meeting held under the auspices of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Forum France (JKDFF) at a local restaurant in Paris. The speakers highlighted the dark record and history of successive governments of India in IOJK and most recently the current fascist government of Mr. Modi which is bent on implementing its Hindutva agenda at the exclusion of all other minorities and Especially in the majority Muslim state of Jammu and Kashmir. The speakers said that grave human rights violations have been committed in IOJK, adding that India has a long list and history of human rights violations in Kashmir, the world witnessed it almost 4 years ago on August 5, 2019. when India unilaterally repealed 370 and 35A of its constitution and merged the IOJK against all international norms and conventions and nullified all United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on Kashmir. The endless curfew in the state makes it the world’s largest prison of the 21st century.
Indian military and paramilitary forces are engaged in killing, torturing, raping and missing innocent Kashmiris on daily basis. All international human rights bodies including the UNSC, European Parliament, Amnesty International , Human Rights watch and other centers of economic power are urgently appealed to come forward and help Kashmiris achieve their right to self-determination.
Among the speakers, Sardar Akhlaq Chairman JKDFF, Asif Jaral President JKDFF and General Secretary Chaudhry Ali Poor Faisal Langriyal Sahib Bashir Badar Sahib Ashfaq Jat Sahib Nabil Hatak Sahib President Awami National Party Tahir Goraya Sahib Malik Abid Sahib expressed their views.
