    IG police briefs president about security arrangements put in place during LG polls;

    Expresses sorrow I’ve loss of lives in Neelum traffic accident,
    Islamabad,  (Parliament Times) : Inspector General Police Ameer Ahmed Sheikh called on President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry here on Sunday.
    During the meeting the IG police gave a detailed briefing to the President regarding the security arrangements made to conduct local body elections in peaceful manner.
    President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry was assured by the IG that Police would ensure law and order situation in the region during the elections.

    On this occasion, the President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry said that today local government elections were being held in Azad Kashmir after a gap of 31 years.
    Expressing his satisfaction over the peaceful conduct of the LG polls in Muzaffarabad division during the first phase of elections, the president said, “Since, the first phase of elections culminated peacefully, I am sure that the second and third phase of elections in Poonch and Mirpur Divisions would be completed successfully”.
    Meanwhile, the AJK President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry expressed his deep sense of shock and sorrow over the traffic accident that occurred at Dudhniyal Chhari area of Neelum valley.

    He also prayed for the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured.
