All security arrangements have been completed.
The entire division has been exempted from load shedding for election daysHospitals and health department staff have been kept present to deal with any emergency.We will fully implement the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission.On the day of polling, carrying and displaying of any type of weapon within the limits of the polling station will be completely prohibited.Licensed weapons could not be exhibited either
Bursting of fireworks, firecrackers and marriage bombs will also not be allowed
No unauthorized person shall be allowed to touch polling materials, polling bags or ballot boxes-
The public is requested to cooperate with the polling staff. The Resident Officer will have the powers of a Magistrate of the first class for the day of polling.All candidates are required to bind their supporters to abide by the code of conduct – legal action will be taken in case of violation of the code of conduct – disqualification action against the candidate for violation of the code of conduct by the supporters of a candidate.
