FAISALABAD: The special Anti Polio campaign in 130 Union Councils of three tehsil of the district would be started from 28 November to 4th of December and as many 0.677 million children upto age of five years would be administered by polio drops for which 2289 polio teams will perform their duties.
The Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh chaired the District Polio Eradication Committee meeting and took briefing on the arrangements while CEO District Health Authority Dr. Kashif Mehmood Kamboo gave briefing and said that the special polio campaign would be implemented in 113 Union Councils of the city, 7 of tehsil Saddar and 10 UCs of Jaranwala. The Deputy Commissioner directed to implement on micro plan and asked Assistant Commissioners to monitor the campaign in letter and spirit. He said that all out resources of publicity should be used for the information of parents and no child upto five years age be missed for administering polio drops during this special campaign.
