    RIUT should be completed as soon as possible to provide best health facilities to people of Rawalpindi: DC

    Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Saqib Manan while addressing the review meeting held to make Rawalpindi Institute of Urology and Transplantation fully operational said that this state of the art project should be completed as soon as possible to provide the best health facilities to the people of Rawalpindi. For said purpose the relevant
    forum will be approached for the release of required and allocated funds, he said. While directing an operation to eliminate illegal encroachments around the hospital, Commissioner Rawalpindi directed the Building Department to complete the boundary wall immediately to ensure the security of the hospital. District administration will provide all kinds of support for the problems faced to complete the boundary wall in a legitimate and legal manner.
    Director Development Nazia Sadhan, Deputy Director Moazzam Ali, Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Nazarat Ali, SE Building, MS BBH, RIUT and other relevant officers participated in this review meeting held at Commissioner Office Rawalpindi.
    Saqib Manan further said that due to the use of this hospital during Corona, there is a need of maintenance for which the building department was directed to complete this work as
    soon as possible. On complaints regarding seepage in a wall of the building, Commissioner Rawalpindi directed the building department to find a lasting solution in one week and the
    building department should complete the rest of the work as soon as possible and hand it over to the hospital. Once this handing/taking over is done PC IV to be done in order to
    ensure timely maintenance of the building which increases its life span. Saqib Manan assured to convey the recommendations regarding the formation of the personal board of the hospital to the relevant forum. Briefing on the occasion, MS RIUT said that this project which worth a cost of around 5694 million will be a source of convenience for the people here as at present all the load of patients of Urology is on BBH Hospital right now. At present, the institute has OPD Block, Emergency Block (20 Beds), Dialysis Unit (30 Beds), Lithotripter, Basic Radiology and Basic Pathology facilities in the initial stage.
