Disability should not be considered as a constraint: DC Imran Hamid Sheikh

FAISALABAD: The Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh has said that disability should not be considered as a constraint but joint efforts should be used for the welfare and rehabilitation of special people. In this regard, the district administration will continue to provide full support. He said this while paying a detailed visit at Govt Special Education Center W Block Madina Town. Chairman APTPMA Sheikh Muhammad Asghar Qadri, Nasir Zia, Engineer Hafiz Ehtesham Javed and other industrialists, District Officer Special Education Abdul Sattar, Principal Sana Rauf and instructors were also present.
Visiting the classrooms of special children, the Deputy Commissioner paid tribute to the wonderful welfare services of the institution for their education and training and said that it is a difficult task to manage such children with any disability. He said that the teachers and administrators of the institution deserve full praise who are successfully carrying out this difficult task.
He also planted saplings in the the institution, while gifts were distributed among special children by philanthropic industrialists. He informed that water filteration plant has been installed at adjacent park that would facilitate to nearly population and school children also.
Chairman APTPMA and others said that special children are also an important part of the society for whose welfare the services of voluntary organizations are of great importance for social development. They said that such children should have special attachment so that they do not feel deprivation. The principal of the institution said that the mission of the institution is to provide services for the education and welfare of physically and mentally challenged and hearing impaired children who are being educated and trained in a modern way.
