A day of sadness happened two days ago when brother like party workers fought with one another and shed their blood where a dozen of students were injured for no cause. It was a glomy day, pathetic, and unjustified. The PSO (Pakhtunkhwa Students Organization) which has been the right hand of PKMAP (Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party) is in serious disarray. The PSO was famous for its organizational set_up that provided immense leadership to the PKMAP. From Usman Khan Kakar, to Nasrullah Khan Zairai, From Rahim Ziaratwal to Dr. Abdul Samad Achakzai, from Raza Muhammed Raza to Khushal Khan Kakar__ i might not be wrong that more then 90 percent of party leadership has been provided by this organization. This organization has a long struggle for students rights and services in colleges and Universities throughout the country. It has been a staunch defender of democracy in the country for which the organization has lost precious lives in the struggle. I have personally met numerous people who are now at good positions, they give credit of their success to this organization. While watching the videos and pictures of bloodstained students of the same organization i though how things have changed and how priorities are altered? How students of first and second years of same organization have been brainwashed mercilessly where they became blood thirsty of one another. Blaming and shaming is an easy task. Without condemning any one, i personally feel that root of the bloody tussle is old which i have mentined time and again in my opinions. The recent blow to the internal situation of the party was the expulsion of two leaders from the party. The current gory ib the PSO has been unique in the sense that it was the first time since its inception when the members of organization fought with one another in this manner where sticks were used inhumanely causing dozens of students injured. The PSO is good organization and a last hope of the Pashtun students at least in Balochistan. Its deteriorated matters deserve attention. Sanity demands not to ruin it and not to make it a bifurcated platform for vested interests. Washing out this decades old students organization will be easy but the repercussions for the party and Pashtun students as a whole will be life lasting. The leadership of the party should take the recent incident as a test case and ought to sit together by eroding all differences through mutual consultation and swift dialogue process. The sole responsibility lies on party chairman who is loved and respected by both groups who has the capacity to sit both groups togather. There is a dire need of introspection within and the urgent need is a clear cut stance by the respected authorities in the party of saying right to the right and wrong to the wrong. I am not pessimist, but have fear that if the things continued to deal in a manner as they have been dealing right now__ the future scenario for the PSO and the PKMAP is bleak. That will have irreparable impacts on the Pashtun society which has already been engulfed by the fundamentalism. Tough times ahead for the party.
