ISLAMABAD ( Parliament Times): The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation engineers across the country have expressed grave concern over recent promotions made by the PBC ignoring the principle of seniority.
“It is a big injustice with radio engineers who have been completely ignored despite beyond of the seniority list”, the senior engineers of the national broadcast said.
They said that the PBC administration in the Headquarters promoted two most junior engineers, out of turn, which have created grave unrest among the engineers in all the radio stations across the country.
“In a national organization – like Radio Pakistan violating rules and regulations while promoting the employees sans merit and principle of seniority was a serious issue”, the affected engineers said claiming that high ups in the PBC administration were appointing the people of their choice by ignoring principles of merit and rules.
According to the media reports, the PBC administration in the head quarters has allegedly illegally brought two most junior engineers off the seniority list appointing them in the much important posts.
The statement urged the federal information minister Marayam Aurangzeb and other concerned authorities to take immediate notice of this injustice and action against those behind this discrimination.
The protestants said that they would go on nation-wide protest if these undue promotions were not cancelled. Ends
