Supporters of Aafia Movement & civil society members protest l to raise demand for the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

Texas, USA: Supporters of Aafia Movement and civil society members staged a protest outside FMC Carswell jail to raise the demand of early release and repatriation of Pakistan woman scientist and mother Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

The speaker highlighted the issue of Dr Aafia Siddiqui and demanded her early release. They said after withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan and release of Taliban prisoners there is no logic to keep Aafia Siddiqui in jail. They said the case against Aafia Siddiqui was totally faked and she should be released and allowed to join her children. They said the civil society has been raising this issue in whole world.

They appealed to the US administration to release Aafia Siddiqui on humanitarian grounds.

Later, the protesters dispersed peacefully.
