Islamabad: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Dr. Mehmet Pacaci along with Country Director Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Mohsin Balci visits Thalassemia Centre and Stitching/Processing Unit established here in Sector F-9 of Islamabad.
Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Amir Fida Pracha welcomed the distinguished guests and briefed about the projects. Turkish Envoy met with the thalassemic patients under treatment in the centre and applauded the PBM’s quality medical services for the poor patients. He also presented gifts to the patients there.
Afterwards, the ambassador visited stitching/processing unit, established in collaboration with TIKA, and inspected the finished products prepared by the Women Empowerment Centres (WECs) of PBM. Managing Director PBM, Amir Fida Paracha told that 161 WECs of PBM are leading the poor women of the country towards an independent and honorable life. On the occasion, Managing Director PBM expressed his gratitude to TIKA for extending cooperation with PBM. He also anticipated strengthening the joint efforts between the two organizations ahead in social protection field.
