Rawalakot [Parliament Times] : A Memorandum of Understanding was singed between University of Poonch Rawalakot and Foundation for Peace for promotion of peace through youth development. The document was jointly signed by Prof Dr Imitiaz Hussain, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences and Mr. Nazir Hussain, Chairmen Foundation of Peace in the presence of Vice Chancellor, Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar.
The basic purpose of the MoU was to establish a long term collaboration between the two institutions for the capacity building of youth so that the youth could contribute to the establishment of durable and sustainable peace. The VC posed his full confidence in the leadership abilities of Dr Imitiaz Hussain, Dean of Management Sciences who can motivate students for positive and constructive activities. Mr Nazir Hussain, Chairman of the Foundation highlighted the importance of imparting holistic cultural training especially the ethos of civility and citizenry. In the end VC argued that investment in youth development is investment in establishment of durable peace.
