FAISALABAD: The master plan for the comprehensive, systematic and integrated development of Faisalabad is in the final stages of completion and will be implemented very soon. This was said by Zahid Hussain, the retired Divisional Commissioner of Faisalabad, while addressing a dinner hosted by Satara Group Chairman Mian Muhammad Idrees, in which the Regional Police Officer Dr. Moin Masood, Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh & besides Other divisional and district officers also participated. Zahid Hussain said that the economy will have a key position in the coming period and it is a matter of pride for me that I have made every possible effort for the development and improvement of this rapidly developing city of the country and provided such facilities here. Efforts have been made to adapt the development process to future requirements. He said he wanted to do more, but could not makeup due to various reasons. He said that in his last tenure, he had the charge of three educational institutions apart from the Commissioner, the Board of Education and the Municipal Corporation. But he never compromised on merit in spite of grievances. He said that many RPOs, Deputy Commissioners and CPOs came during his tenure and we tried our best to serve the city as a team. Regarding the flood, he appreciated the spirit of service of the people of Faisalabad and said that Faisalabad is the only city from which relief goods were sent to the affected areas through a record 116 trucks. He said that new clothes worth 5 crore rupees were sent in just 2 days for winter. He expressed the expectation that the commissioner who will replace him will also play a full role for the development of this city. While welcoming the guests, Mian Muhammad Idrees paid tribute to the services of Commissioner Zahid Hussain in magnificent words and said that the people of Faisalabad will never forget his spirit of services. He said that the incoming Regional Police Officer Moin Masood and Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh have been in office for a short time, but it is a matter of satisfaction that they are the sons of this land and they will work tirelessly for the development of this city with renewed enthusiasm. . Finally, Mian Javed Iqbal thanked the guests and said that Regional Police Officer Moin Masood wants to make this city the safest city so that industrial, commercial and business activities can be carried forward here. He also appreciated RPO’s vision of Safe City and said it would help control crime.
He requested the President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry( FCCI) Dr. Khurram Tariq to pave the way for the early implementation of the Safe City project along with the Regional Police Officer.
