Animal Society and CDRS organized World Animal Remembrance event at Racecourse Park with support from CML
Islamabad, ( Parliament Times): Give Us Life Animal Welfare Society and CDRS arranged and event and undertook a unique ride this morning with the help of CML to the Racecourse Park to commemorate World Animal This initiative and Idea was to introduce local Pakistani animals in an event like a pet show. This is an area that needs dire attention and hence we decided to make a lovely cycle ride out of it.
We encouraged participants to bring their rescued animals and pets asking for a fun pet parade and we were fortunate to witness some animals, mostly dogs and turtles too to mark this day and ride.
The ride started from Liberty and made its way to the Racecourse Park in a very organized way with rescue 1122 accompanying us and organized by the District Government.
The venue was beautifully done by Give us Life Animal welfare and CDRS a lot of backend effort went in making all of this happen. A very light and apt breakfast along with juices had been organized too by the organizers. This was all followed by a small pet parade and the kids especially had a super time.
It was a smallish ride but a very nice one at that though..
Baber Imran Saab from Wildlife department and Jaleel Saab from PHA racecourse attended the event .
We are planning to create such events more frequent . You will see a series of such awareness campaigns and walks in coming days
