The only way to improve our lives is to improve our actions

Our actions are always based on our values and beliefs. They set our priorities and the ways we respond or react to life events. Our values and beliefs come from the way we think and talk to ourselves. “What we think we will become.” By changing the way we think, we rewire our brains to make better decisions and they improve our life experiences. It’s easier said than done sometimes. But the good news is that we can all rewire our brains to have more empowering beliefs if we decide to do so. One of the best ways is through repetition. Repetition rewires our brains. Repetition rewires our brains. Repetition rewires our brains. Do you get the joke? But seriously, when we repeat something long enough, it becomes our belief, our second nature. It pops up in our mind when we look for answers. That’s why mantras and affirmations are so effective. They are retained in our minds until needed. Well-written self-affirmations generate a positive feeling which literally attracts those experiences to us. If you want to have a bit of fun today, take a sheet of paper and write down a belief you’d like to change on the left side of the page. On the right side of the page, write down a new improved belief that you want to use to replace the current one. Now read the current belief first and the new one second. Make sure the new belief makes you feel something positive, uplifting, and empowering. For example, Current beliefs may include: I am too old to begin…. A new belief can be: I have so much life experience. I can do it! It will be easy! Keep reading both the current and the new beliefs together for a week, then fold the page and only read the new one until it becomes your new normal. Whatever we repeatedly think about and feed with emotion will one day become a reality. Believe in yourself at all times and learn from all your experiences to improve your actions day by day.
