Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : UN should act now , stop Modi from HR violations and demographic changes in IIOJK
Chairman of Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmed Bhat in a statement here in Islamabad today has said that Kashmir dispute is lingering since the inception of United Nations. Hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris have lost their lives, homes, property and their youth for the freedom from Indian occupation.
While urging UNGA to play its due role and devise a decisive plan for settlement of Kashmir dispute for peaceful South Asia in its ongoing 77th General Assembly session in New York Bhat added that, the world body should intervene now and make India stop its heinous crimes against humanity in Kashmir, demilitarize IIOJ&K and start the process of plebiscite.
Chairman Bhat while telling about pain and suffering of Kashmiri people since 1989 said that, Indian occupation forces have killed more than 96,114 innocent people, among them 7,254 in custody, 165,120 Civilian arrested, 110,490 Structures Arsoned/Destroyed, 22,950 Women Widowed, 107,880 Children Orphaned, 11,25 Women gang-raped / Molested.
Altaf Ahmed Bhat demanded an urgent intervention by the world community to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute, which is nuclear flash point encircled by three powerful nuclear states— Pakistan, India and China.
