TURBAT: The meeting of the Affiliation Committee of the University of Turbat (UoT) was held in the video conference room of the UoT. Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, Dean Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities chaired the meeting.
The visit report of the affiliated colleges was presented in the meeting which was appreciated by the members of the forum. The Affiliation Committee was informed that during the inspection visit to the different colleges, the committee had identified some deficiencies, including lack of teaching staff, computer, and science subject labs at some colleges in the Makran Division.
These colleges’ administration has been advised for taking immediate action to address these concerns. The committee expressed its satisfaction that the academic standards in the colleges were improving.
The forum also discussed and resolved the matter of the syllabus of AD and BS programs of colleges already affiliated with UoT and the ones still awaiting affiliation. The members of the
forum adumbrated their suggestions for the further improvement of the education and infrastructure of the colleges.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Balooch pledged to make concerted efforts to cater to the needs of the
affiliated colleges and align the course contents of the syllabus with market needs as per the policy guidelines of the Higher Education Commission. He also vowed to provide ample
opportunities to the teaching staff of the colleges for their capacity building.
Dr. Nasir Kiazai, Director Institute of Education and Research (IER) UoB, Ganguzar Baloch, UoT’s Registrar, Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean Academics, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, Controller of Examinations, Professor Sirbuland Khan Ex-Principal Tump College, Professor Dawood, Principal BRC Turbat, and Abdul Ghafoor Dashti, Divisional Director Schools Mekran attended the meeting.
