Lahore:: Under the leadership of former Governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, the Punjab Development Network, which consists of welfare organizations, has announced the establishment of a relief fund to provide ration to 1 lakh flood-affected families and to help them. Full support will be provided to flood victims in all four provinces including Punjab. Sarwar Foundation will also set up free medical camps in the affected areas to provide medical facilities to the victims.According to the statement issued by the head of Punjab Development Network, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, all the organizations involved in Punjab Development Network, including Sarwar Foundation, are standing with the flood victims, they will not be left alone in any case. We have started providing ration to one lakh flood affected families in the first phase but after that we will go to help the flood victims wherever they are in Pakistan including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan. He said that the current flood in Pakistan has caused more destruction than the 2005 earthquake, the 2010 flood and COVID-19. Overseas Pakistanis always stand with the Pakistani people in difficult times and God willing, I am sure that they will continue to help the flood victims as well.Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that nothing is more necessary than helping the flood victims in Pakistan at this time. The way the Pakistan Army and other organizations are working on the front line to help the flood victims is commendable. Federal and all provincial governments have to come on one page and work for the flood victims, politics will continue later, now we have to stand with the flood victims only.Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that we appeal to our benevolent Pakistanis living in Pakistan and around the world to participate fully in this good work. For this, all the details including bank accounts are available on the Sarwar Foundation website. There is no doubt that whenever difficult times come upon Pakistan, the Pakistani nation always stands strong like a rock. Now the time has come that all governments, political and religious, should go beyond political and personal interests to help the flood victims. Parties and all schools of thought should be united and there should not be a single moment’s delay in helping the flood victims, otherwise the coming time will not forgive anyone.
