Islamabad/ MIRPUR (AJK ) , (Parliament Times) : President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary has expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its generous support in the construction of state-of-the-art Kashmir University Campus at Chattar Class near capital city Muzaffarabad.
During a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawab bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliki here on Sunday, the president said that Saudi Arabia has contributed generously for the building multi-building campus named after King Abdullah. On this occasion, the President specially thanked the Saudi Ambassador Nawab bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliki and the Saudi Arabian Government for accomplishing this mega project worth billions of rupees. “More than three and a half Arab rupees were also provided for the equipment and machinery of various departments, for which we are very grateful to the Saudi government”, the president said.
It is worth mentioning here that Saudi Arabia had provided ten billion rupees for the building of the King Abdullah Campus, three and a half billion rupees for the equipment and machinery of various departments.
The Campus would be formally inaugurated by an important representative of the government of Saudi Arabia next month (September).
The campus stretched over hundreds of acres of land comprises of academic blocks, teaching departments, library, lab, sports center, student hostel, administrative block, auditorium and other departments.
On this occasion, Barrister Chaudhry also briefed the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, Nawab bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliki, on the prevailing political and human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir.
