Sahiwal, (Bureau Report) : A special seminar on Kashmir Exploitation Day was held in the district council hall to condemn the Indian oppression of Kashmiris and to change the statehood of Kashmir. ADCR Asim Salim, ADC General Nauman Afzal, Assistant Commissioner Solat Hayat Vito, CEO Education Dr. Muhammad Arshad, Director Colleges Prof. Masood Faridi, Member of Islamic Ideological Council Syed Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Director Arts Council Dr. Syed. Riaz Hamdani, Municipal Officer Services Asad Khan Babar, Chief Officer District Council Shahzad Iqbal Qureshi, Deputy Director Colleges Shabab Fatima, Additional Director Livestock Lubna Jabbar and a large number of people from all walks of life also participated in the event. The participants of the seminar tied black bands on their arms to show solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri brothers. Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Khizr Afzal Chaudhry said that the purpose of celebrating Kashmir Exploitation Day is to assure Kashmiris that 22 crore people of Pakistan stand with them. He further said that three years ago on August 5, 2019, India took away the fundamental rights of the brave Kashmiri people at gunpoint and turned Kashmir into a prison and illegally changed the status of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to all international organizations. Laws were flouted. He said that he strongly condemns the illegal action of India at all levels and hoped that the time is not far when the sun of freedom of Kashmiris will rise. Other speakers also addressed the seminar and saluted the patience of Kashmiris against Indian oppression and said that Pakistani nation is always with them. At the end of the seminar, prayers were offered for the freedom of Kashmir and the development and prosperity of Pakistan. After the seminar, a rally was also taken out from District Council Hall to DC Chowk to express solidarity with Kashmiris. The participants of the rally also shouted slogans of Kashmir will be Pakistan, take it and keep it.
