LAHORE: Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar chairman of All Parties Task Force on Kashmir and Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik met with more than 40 members of the British Parliament and Lords. The petition for the release of Yasin Malik will also be submitted to the House of Commons for approval. Members of the British Parliament and the Lords demanded the release of all Kashmiri prisoners, including Yasin Malik, and an end to the ongoing atrocities on Kashmir by India. Anas Sarwar, leader of the Scottish Labor Party, has announced that he will present a petition in the Scottish Parliament for the release of Yassin Malik. According to a statement issued from Lahore on Monday, the chairman of the All Parties Task Force, former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, during his visit to the United Kingdom, discussed Kashmir with Chairperson of All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Kashmir Debbie Abrahams, Member of Parliament Alex Sobel, Lord Wajid Khan, Member of Parliament Alison Thewliss, Vice Chairman All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Kashmir Imran Hussain, Member of Parliament Kate Hollern, Member of Parliament Geraint Davies, Shadow Minister For Justice Afzal Khan, Vice Chairman All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Kashmir Paul Bristow, Member of Parliament Valerie Vaz, Member of Parliament Yasmin Qureshi, Member of Parliament Mohammad Yasin and Shadow Minister Alex Cunningham and they all signed the petition for the release of Yasin Malik. Members of the British Parliament assured to take all possible steps for the release of Yasin Malik. Members of the British Parliament also proposed to appoint international lawyers for the release of Yasin Malik. The petition for the release of Yasin Malik will be approved by the Parliament’s Petitions Committee at the House of Commons. Afterward, the petition for his fair trial and release will be launched which will require the signatures of 10,000 people before 18th July 2022. If the petition gets the required signatures then it will be debated in the British Parliament. Former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that he will onboard international lawyers for the release of Yasin Malik at his own expense. Former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar further said that we will also present all the arguments and facts for the release of Yasin Malik to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. I strongly hope that on the global platform, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be our voice for the release of Yasin Malik. Yasin Malik’s fair trial and release are beyond politics and the nation is united like a rock on the Kashmir issue. Yasin Malik is the Nelson Mandela of the subcontinent because a freedom fighter can never be a terrorist.India cannot stifle the voices of Kashmiris. Yasin Malik should be provided with better medical treatment facilities. Until the hearing of the appeal regarding the British Parliament to put diplomatic pressure on the Indian government, Yasin Malik should be released on bail.Former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Modi massacred Muslims even after he became the Prime Minister and there was no precedent for the inhumane acts of India. I would urge the British Parliament and all international institutions to take notice of these atrocities. He said that human rights are being violated by India in occupied Kashmir. Minorities including women and children are being oppressed by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
