Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders has said that the 7th martyrdom day of freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani will be observed as a pledge of resistance for independence and right to self-determination from India.
While talking to media in Muzaffarabad, Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, PPP leader Shaukat Javed Mir, Usman Ali Hashim and Javed Ahmad Mughal said that after the martyrdom of Khalid Wani, the way his younger brother Burhan Wani organized the resistance movement against Indian atrocities in the most difficult circumstances, not only challenged Indian authorities and but also challenged Indian forces particularly through social media.
“The Kashmiri people will never forget the courage and bravery in exposing war crimes to the whole world”, they stated.
“Burhan Wani Shaheed lived in the forests, mountains and deserts of the Kashmir Valley just for the struggle of freedom.”
The leaders said that on July 8, 2016, the Kashmiri people lost their beloved Mujahid, a valiant and fearless commander alongwith Faraz Ahmed and Khalid Ahmed, in the Kokarnag area of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Speakers said that the unparalleled struggle of Burhan Wani will always be remembered.
They added that on 8th July “Resistance Day” an organized contingent of youth will salute the Kashmiri martyrs including Burhan Wani Shaheed at the chowk known by his name.
Burhan Muzaffar Wani was a young guerrilla commander of Tehreek-e-Azadi affiliated to Hizbul Mujahideen who was martyred by Indian forces on 8th July 2016.
