Lahore: Vice Chairperson Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Shaheen Khalid Butt directed the OPC officers to develop a reconciliatory mechanism in collaboration with legal experts so that pending cases of overseas Pakistanis could be settled as early as possible. He clarified that Overseas Pakistanis are rendering extraordinary services to their beloved homeland and they will not be left alone. All resources would be utilized to solve their problems. He expressed these views while presiding over an introductory meeting with OPC officers after taking over the charge of Vice Chairperson of OPC in Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab the other day. The meeting was attended by Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas, Director General Ishratullah Khan Niazi, Director Admin Tanveer Majid, Director Legal Raja Muhammad Zubair, Director Revenue Aslam Ramey, Director Police Imtiaz Ahmad Khan and dealing officers. While giving briefing to the Vice Chairperson the Commissioner and the Director General OPC said that out of 29833 complaints lodged so far in the OPC Punjab portal, 19999 complaints have been resolved. They further said that Special front desks have also been set up under one roof for immediate solution of the problems of Overseas Pakistanis which is being fully utilized by them. On which the Vice Chairperson directed that a coordinated team should be formed for resolving the problems of Overseas Pakistanis and their pending complaints should be resolved as soon as possible. He further said that Overseas Pakistanis are our precious asset. Their hearts beat in love of Pakistan and effective steps are being taken to solve the problems facing them.
