Lahore: Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman today attended the MoU ceremony of transfer of E-Employment Centers at Governor House Lahore as a special guest. Chairman Planning and Development Board Ali Sarfraz and Secretary Sports Asadullah Faiz were also present on the occasion while Vice Chancellors of various universities of Punjab also attended the function. On this occasion, Vice Chancellors of various universities of Punjab, Secretary Sports and DGPITB signed a memorandum of understanding.
Addressing the function, Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman said that e-employment program is an important step for the strong economic future of the yout. He said that good policies should be continued. Governor Punjab said that policies have been maintained year after year in developed countries,adfing that good policies should not only be continued for the development of the country and nation but also they should be further improved. He said that it was very important to equip the youth with IT and digital technology in this modern age. He said that PML-N had given laptops to millions of students on merit in the previous government and this year also the government has re-launched the program of laptops for students.
Vice Chancellors of Islamia University Bahawalpur, Lahore College for Women University and University of Education also addressed the function. He said in a briefing before the ceremony that the e-employment program would be transferred to universities and colleges in three phases. In the first phase, 21 e-employment centers are being shifted to universities, while the remaining centers across Punjab will be shifted to university and college sector by June next year.
