India uses humiliation of women in Kashmir as weapon of war, international community should take notice: Miss Farida.

SRINAGAR: Head of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Miss Farida, while expressing concern over the rapidly growing Indian military atrocities in occupied Kashmir, said that Occupied Indian forces have stepped up their brutal actions across the state after Kashmiri leader Muhammad Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment by a so-called Indian court. India is trying in vain to divert the world’s attention from the issue of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik by such actions. Recently, around a dozen Kashmiri youths have been martyred while dozens have been arrested.

“India used all sorts of tactics and nefarious schemes to suppress the Kashmiris’ movement but due to the high morale and spirit of Kashmiris, India always failed”.

Miss Farida said that India used the humiliation of women in Kashmir as a weapon of war. On this very day, two innocent sisters of Shopian, 22-year-old Nilofer and 17-year-old Ayesha Jan were abducted by the occupying Indian army, they raped and killed them. And to date, hundreds of innocent Kashmiri women and girls like them have not received justice which is a disgraceful stain on global humanity and global conscience.

“I urge international human rights organizations, especially the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and other international bodies to take notice of the painful and shameful incidents of rape of Kashmiri women like in Kanpura and murder after rape of two innocent Kashmiri girls in Shopian in Occupied Kashmir and take concrete steps against India. So that these oppressed Kashmiri women who have been waiting for justice for decades can get justice”.

Miss Farida said that Fascist Modi government of India cannot suppress the spirit of Kashmiri people by binding or punishing Hurriyat leadership. Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory, India cannot decide the fate of Kashmiri people with its so-called courts. International community should play its effective role to save Yasin Malik and other Kashmiri leadership by awakening their dead conscience.
