Current Affairs: Kashmir after life term to Yasin Malik

India’s notorious Patiala Kangroo court has sentenced eminent Kashmiri leader Muhammad Yasin Malik Chairman JKLF to life in prison in various cases, including terrorism and financing. Yasin Malik said “Justice isnot expected. Whatever the court may sentence, I will not beg to court.” On May 19, the kangaroo court judge found him guilty on basis of his confession and fixed May 25 for sentencing. An NIA lawyer had asked the court to sentence him to death, while a defense lawyer assigned to Yasin Malik by the government had demanded a minimum sentence of life imprisonment. Yasin Malik argued in his defense during the sentencing debate that “these cases have been made in last 28 years and he has not been involved in any militancy action. If such an allegation is proved then he will leave politics.” It should be noted that Yasin Malik has been accused of playing a role in financing the leaders of Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba for military operations. Apart from Shabir Ahmad Shah, Asiya Andrabi, Musarat Alam, Engineer Rashid and other Kashmiri leaders not received any terror funding from Pakistan and around the world despite the fact that Maqbool Butt and Yasin Malik’s organisation JKLF is first to took up arms for freedom in kashmir and he offer Indian government’s to resolve the issue through peaceful dialogue and has never resorted militancy since then. He has never been in touch with these organizations. He also worked with various Indian governments for peace in the Kashmir and offered suggestions on various options time to time. He said that “he was in favor of resolving the Kashmir issue through peaceful dialogue.” After Narendra Modi took over the government in India, he pursued a policy of dealing with Pakistan as well as Indian Muslims and especially those seeking independence in occupied Kashmir with an iron fist. Yasin Malik and other Kashmiri leaders were subjected to judicial terrorism. It is learned that earlier Indian court had sentenced Maqbool Butt Shaheed’s death and eminent Kashmiri leaders Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Burhan Wani and dozens of others were martyred but they lost their thinking and ideology. By punishing Yasin Malik, india has given new life and strong hopes to the dying movement of Kashmiris. Pakistan is big brother and strong advocate of kashmiris but during Yasin Malik case, there was no any pursuing in international court of justice, United Nations, OIC and other global institutions. It’s big mistakes and weakness of miniseries of foreign affairs, kashmir Affairs and government of AJK as well. Prime minister AJK were busy to make happy his leader Imran Khan to joining Azadi March. Pakistani political and religious parties and leaders even government of Pakistan busy in saving their own chair fights and trying to defeat his opponents not for security, stability, economic development in the country nor kashmir issue, when Imran khan was in powers he only gave speeches and promises, he didn’t take any serous practical steps to relief Kashmiris, new PDM government and PTI busy in Azadi March but both do not know that Pakistan can’t be complete without kashmir, because founder father of Pakistan Hazrat Quaid e Azam truly said Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan. Please don’t be hurry to start trade and culture talks with India, if you serious in severity and stability start dialogue on kashmir it’s very crucial time for Kashmiris, but every kashmiri know he must continue his struggle till end, as their forefathers did since 1947.And three generations sacrifices thier lives for freedom of homeland. Yasin Malik gave strong hope to both sides of Kashmir and diaspora to unite and continue their efforts till UN resolutions implemented, and it’s not far away,time will come very soon.
