ISLAMABAD , (Parliament Times) : Spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) on Thursday condemned the Indian government for framing fake charges against senior Hurriyat leader Zaffar Akbar Bhat and seven other Kashmiris for supporting and leading the right of self-determination movement in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) .
The spokesman of JKSM said that a special court of India’s notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Srinagar has framed charges against eight persons including illegally detained senior Hurriyat leader Zafar Akbar Bhat in connection with a false case registered against them two years back.
” Special judge of NIA court Srinagar Manjeet Singh Manhas who was specially brought from New Delhi and framed the baseless charges against Bhat and seven other Kashmiri political and human rights activists under various sections of the black law Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) on the directions of Government of India,” the JKSM spokesman added
The JKSM spokesman further said that a case was registered against Bhat and others by the so-called State Investigation Agency (SIA) of IIOJK on July 27, 2020 for arranging admissions of IIOJK residents in MBBS and other professional courses in various colleges, institutions and universities in Pakistan which is a complete lie and a bid to hoodwink the international community on the rising human rights violations in IIOJK. The NIA also accused Bhat of collecting money from MBBS students for arranging anti-India protests and pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan rallies in IIOJK. They also accused Bhat’s family of providing money to stone pelters to keep unrest continue in the disputed region. All the charges against Bhat are fake and baseless. The people of (IIOJK) Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are supporting this scared political movement at their own without getting money from other countries. Basically this is the frustration of Indian government agencies who had lost their control in IIOJK. They want to suppress freedom activists and leadership by putting them behind the bars. Modi regime’s decision to ban Indian students from studying in Pakistan is actually meant to hit students from IIOJK. Modi regime’s policy of invalidating Pakistani MBBS degree is intended to destroy careers of Kashmiri students who have got education from Pakistani medical colleges. After snatching basic freedoms of IIOJK people, India government is now depriving Kashmiri students of higher education in Pakistan.
“ Modi regime has trampled upon every right including right to travel and right to education in IIOJK. Ban on Kashmiri students to travel to Pakistan for pursuing higher education is a conspiracy to keep Kashmiris backward and uneducated.
Indian government’s move to bar Kashmiri students to study in Pakistan is a violation of international law on right to education and Modi’s anti-education agenda in IIOJK and this all is nothing except to destroy the future of Kashmiri students.
India is treating Kashmiris harshly at every moment for their association with the freedom movement. Over seven decades of Indian illegal occupation has created education paralysis in IIOJK. Indian militarisation has badly affected students’ education ,” The JKSM spokesman said.
The JKSM spokesman further revealed that Indian occupational forces are killing innocent people in fake encounters on daily basis and arresting political activists without any court orders aimed to divert the world community attention from the current critical situation of IIOJK and for this Indian establishment cooked this story to justify the illegal detention of senior APHC leader Zaffar Akbar Bhat.
The IIOJK people appeal to the world community particularly Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) , European Union (EU), United States of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK) and United Nations Organisation (UNO) to take the notice against such politically motivated court decisions through Indian government wants to silent the peaceful political leaders of IIOJK who have been fighting for their basic rights granted by UNO resolutions.
