Child development is the scientific study of the quantitative ( height and weight) and qualitative ( skills and intelligence ) ways in which children change over time based on changes in development, not every child is the same. Every child is unique and different from the other in physical as well as mental development even then, we must also respect individual differences and should not compare them on their physical or mental development. Besides individual differences however children have some sort of similar patterns or periods of development. There are also some very important areas of child development that we need to understand. because the understanding of development gives you a better idea about child development. I can say that all child development can relay upon these areas and these are: * Physical development ( fine and gross motors) * language development * cognitive development * social-emotional development if we see these areas specifically then it’s easy to understand every phase of child development. let’s start with physical development this is the area of the physical growth and development of a child and it has two domains fine and gross motors, the fine motor skills focus on the small bones in our body meanwhile the Gross motor skills focus on large Bones in our body if these domains are strong in a child then a child can easily crawl, walk, jump, write and more. The second one is language development in which a baby starts to babble, imitates sounds, and slowly and gradually starts to talk. In social-emotional development, a child learns to communicate with the environment make new friends and connections start to learn how to behave with others start to realize his feeling for other living things, and many more .and the last one is the cognitive development is the domain in which a child’s mental growth occurs every time we see a child is trying to engage himself with some sort of fun activities we don’t realize then but the cognitive development of a child is happening at that time so make sure to engage your child in every sort of activities that he likes to do. It has been mentioned in my article earlier that the development of a child relay upon these domains and if these domains of a child are strong then the child is even stronger.
