Ramazan is the blessing from Allah. During Ramadan our Muslim brothers and sisters world increase worship and prayers, reading and recitation of the Quran, religious devotion, spiritual reflection, self-examination and charity to the poor. Where in whole people give discount and facilitate their people in buying things we face a hike in prices from meat to pulses, to vegetables and flour. As usual the same story of blame game facet on the onset of ramadan. Wholesalers and retailers blame each other for ganning excessive profit. Right here in the little dot we have the yearly ramadan bazar where we can buy the same product in less price but not sure of quality.Even if the government does so, in Pakistan there is no check and balance to see if the said prices are being implemented. We observe price hikes on special occasions like Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitar and other religious and cultural festivals. An average or low income citizen cannot afford such expensive commodities. As a result, it creates a feeling of deprivation among the lower societies. Keeping the markets steady during Ramazan has always been a challenge for government. So this time government should monitoring all the situation during ramadan especially check and balance the hike in prices as well as in restuarants. As this month is one of the most important moments for the government to show their efficiency and competence in order to win public hearts.
