Beyond the shadow of a doubt our sweet and lovely Sindh has been the abode of saints, sufis and men of God who always preached and promoted peace, love, affection, brotherhood, philanthropy, empathy, unity and altruism among the people. The hospitality, generosity, amity and affinity of the Sindhis and of the Baloch is very famous all over the world. The history of Baloch and Sindhi nation reveals that they have been loving, caring, credulous, very simple, trusting and forgiving people. They even forgive murders, accept apologies for committing any mistake and shun the differences, delusion, controversies, enmities, beyond this welcome their bitter enemies if someone approaches them at their doorsteps. Regretfully, the face of peaceful Sindh has been tarnished and blurred by shedding the blood of innocent humans on petty matters like theft of a buffalo, sheep, goat, measurement of agriculture land, rotation of water, occupation of agriculture land, marital disputes, property issues, Karo- Kari matters, recovery of borrowed money and so on. These types of conflicts often erupt and convert into prolonged tribal clashes and last for many years. Precious lives of people are claimed by these bloody conflicts, innocent children are made orphans and women are made widows by killing the head of the family. Surprisingly, neither the local feudal lords nor the political leaders take sincere efforts and interest to end the tribal skirmishes, shun the differences and rifts among the waring fractions. Simultaneously, the role of Sindh govt and Police is very disappointing on this core issue. Sindh Police has utterly failed to curb the rampant crime ratio and did nothing to maintain and ensure worsening law and order situation in the province. The street crimes in metropolitan city Karachi and Hyderabad could not be controlled. The incidents of kidnapping people for ransom and robberies on highways and Katcha areas of Sindh are the order of the day and had been headache for Sindh Police for the last many years. Currently, in upper Sindh specially in Katcha areas of Kashmore, Jacobabad Shikar Pur, Larkana, Sukkur and Ghotki districts many gangs of notorious robbers are at large to violate law and even they are committing crimes openly in broad daylight. The district Police is either unable or not well equipped to combat the proclaimed criminals who are wanted in many cases of murder, kidnapping and robberies. Sometimes the bandits are overpowered the Police and killed their officers and Policemen during encounters. The silence of Sindh govt over the loss of lives of Police, citizens and ever rising cases of severe crimes is question marked? Why a major rapid military operation is not launched against those elements, supporters and characters who are involved in criminal activities. The time has already come to wipe out the criminal elements to provide stable and durable peace to the people of Sindh who have been victimised since years. Nowadays, upper Sindh is burning in the fire of bloody tribal feuds and on the other hand people are at the mercy of criminal groups who were unleashed and let loose to ruin the peace of Sindh that has been famous for mutual love, affection, peace, tranquility and brotherhood as the people of this province have been pacifist, hospitable and owner of very rich and the oldest civilization of world. Recently, few days ago, in Katcha area of district Kashmore a bloody tribal feud resurfaced between Sabzoi and Chachar communities, resultantly two persons were killed. It is also pertinent to mention here, that so far more than 200 casualties from various tribes of district Kashmore have been killed in these vendettas. The opponent parties are fighting against each other since years but Sindh Government is reluctant to curb the tribal conflicts which have played havoc with the future generations. The Katcha areas of interior Sindh are deprived of all the basic essential facilities of life like health, education and development schemes because of tribal issues. In these areas the schools are permanently closed and nonfunctional since years and the health care centers are also not functional because of safe havens of criminals and “No-Go” areas created there by them. Unfortunately, despite wrong strategy every time the action taken by district Kashmore Police against criminals, the writ of state has not been maintained there. These days upper parts of Sindh are burning in tribal disputes, the youth is killed in untimely death even before the celebration of their wedding ceremonies of life. Why electables and influential figures are always silent and blind-folded over the loss of innocent people who have been killed for unknown reasons, either to equal the kill-count or to end the life of someone merely on the basis of personal grudge or jealousy? In 21st century how long we will face the inhuman customs like tribal issues, feudalism and honour killings? Its high time that on humanitarian basis, all human rights organisations, NGOs, political leaders, media men, social activists and all peace loving people of the area sincerely come forward and play their pivotal role to motivate and convince warring segments of the society to patch their all differences and old enmities, make peace and develop friendly and brotherly ties among them to promote permanent peace, love, affinity, mutual harmony so that they can turn over a new journey of life towards peace, progress and prosperity.
