According to cardiologists heart diseases have become the leading cause of death in Pakistan. World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that an alarming increase has been seen in deaths due to heart attacks, heart failures and other cardial ailments, resulting in a bewildering 46 deaths with every passing hour. Three years ago, only 12 people were dying due to heart diseases per hour but only in a duration of three years the figure has alarmingly increased and now the number of deaths has jumped to 46. According to (WHO) data of 2016 as many as 250,000 people were dying due to heart diseases in Pakistan annually which was 19 percent of the total deaths countrywide but in just three years the WHO has found a whooping increase by 29 percent of total deaths due to heart diseases which is around 406,870 per year. Finally, I would like to request the health concerned authorities to do their best to prevent the rising number of heart diseases in the country.
