MURREE, (Parliament Times) : Despite Pakistan Tehreek Insaf’s Member National Assembly from Murree, Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, who pledges that recruitment of teaching staff in Kohsar varsity will be done purely on merit, but candidates believe that only those having influence will get the required job.
As per details, the candidates, who applied for the posts of Assistant Professors at the Kohsar University of Murree have alleged violation of merit in the selection process and warned of striving against what it called favouritism.
It was professed that those students who had earned gold medals in their academic careers had been denied during selection process and those ranked low were given call letters for interview.
Dr. Banzeer Ahsan Abbasi is among one of them, who while reaching to this correspondent told that she had undeniable evidence of irregularities in selection procedure and would produce them before court of law.
Dr Banzeer stated that she had appeared for interviews here twice but was each time denied in selection on one or the other pretext. She said that when selection board was announced, she was neither called for an interview nor her file was presented before it.
She firmly believed that the process of selection was outlaw, so the provincial government should order an inquiry into it for action against the relevant quarters.
Vice Chancellor and Registrar Kohsar University Murree were not available for comments despite repeated attempts.
It is worth mentioning here that PTI MNA from the area Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, who is also an educationist on a number of occasions had asserted that the process of recruitment in Kohsar varsity will be “fair, transparent and according to the rules and regulations”.
