Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and special assistance to Chief Minister Sindh for Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Housing Cell
Nawab Ali Wassan said that Pakistan could not progress untill the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led incumbent government was in power. He gave this statement while commenting on PPP’s long march.
The PPP leader said that the three years of the incumbent govt of PTI forced people of Pakistan to protest. He said that the PPP was going to send the “selected government” packing with the help of people’s power.
Nawab Ali Wassan further stated that the PPP had taken to the streets for the rights of Pakistanis. He urged more people to join the long march in Islamabad and help them send the “puppet government” home. He added that the PPP had given the provinces their rights in the form of the 18th amendment and the party’s planned march represented the issues of all provinces.
The long march of the PPP started from Karachi on February 27 and it will reach the capital in 10 days passing through 34 different cities. The party had announced the long march to protest the inflation, hike in petroleum products prices and other measures taken by PTI-led federal government.
