PMAS-AAUR and RWU Sign MoU

RAWALPINDI,   (Parliament Times) ; Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) and Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) signed MoU, here on Tuesday, to jointly carry out various activities to pursue a program of scientific, technical and academic collaboration for the exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on issues of national interest.

Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR and Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal Vice Chancellor RWU signed MoU on behalf of their organizations, respectively.

Under the MoU, both parties agreed on mutual exchange of technical and scientific information, personnel and research material for research and academic development. Both organizations also cooperate in areas such as beekeeping research farms, laboratories and staff interaction and will create internship opportunities for the students of both universities.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman emphasized the need for bilateral collaboration in research and educational programs. It was also shared that both universities should benefit from the experiences of each other through student and teacher exchange programs. Additionally, he offered the faculty members of PMAS-AAUR to develop joint research projects with the faculty members of RWU.

Dr. Zaman also gave a detailed presentation on on-going activities and new initiatives of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University and future perspectives in research and educational programs were also highlighted to indicate the possible areas of collaboration.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal expressed his deep appreciation for the excellent work of Arid University. She further said that both universities will continue working on this collaboration for the betterment of students and faculty members of both universities to benefit from this joint program.

The ceremony was also attended by Deans and Directors of various faculties & Institutes of PMAS-AAUR and ended with the promise by both of the partners that with strenuous efforts we will materialize this agreement for the betterment of students & faculty members of both Universities.
