Ghulam Yasin Nizami
The relatives of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who had the taste of worship of Allaah in their hearts, devoted themselves to the love of the Holy Prophet and took full part in the helping of Islam. He acquainted them with new thinking and rules and regulations according to which they became exemplary by living according to their noble lineage and high rank. You are the great uncle of the Holy Prophet (beloved). You are counted among the glorious Companions.
Name and nickname:
Your name is Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim bin Abdul Manaf – your surname is Abu Al-Fadl.
Happy birth and childhood:
Hazrat Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib was born three years before the common elephant. He is three years older than the Messenger of Allah. There is more but the Messenger of Allah is older than me. There is a narration about your childhood that: Hazrat Abbas disappeared in his childhood. Your mother vowed that if she finds Hazrat Abbas, she will dress Baitullah Sharif. When you find her, your mother fulfilled her vow. They hung silk curtains on the Ka’bah and adorned the Baitullah with various kinds of precious fabrics (silk and debaj).
Early conditions of your blessed life:
You were tall, white, very handsome. Allah blessed him with beauty and that is why the people of Quraysh, seeing his knowledge, courage, generosity, sovereignty and family benevolence, chose him as the protector of Baitullah Sharif. As Imam Qurtubi puts it:
Hazrat Abbas was the chief and great ruler of Makkah. He was obeyed. He was the owner and was so close to the sanctity of the Ka’bah that he did not talk nonsense during the construction. The Quraysh will be your helpers.
Accepting Islam:
Undoubtedly, the manifestation of the miracles of the Messenger of Allah had already started before the creation of the universe and in every age your light of prophethood has been showing its radiance. Recognizes.
In the same way, his good qualities were not hidden from the people of Makkah. Imam Bayhaqi narrated that Hazrat Abbas said: O Messenger of Allah! I was invited to enter your religion by the signs of your prophethood. I saw that in your childhood you used to talk to the moon in the cradle The moon would bend in the same direction as you would point with your finger.
The Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: I used to talk to the moon and the moon used to talk to me and he used to entertain me with crying and I used to hear the sound of his glorification while prostrating under his throne.
Regarding your regular expression of Islam, Imam Shams-ud-Din Dhahabi says:
When a ransom was demanded from Hazrat Abbas, he said: I have no money. The Messenger of Allah said: Uncle! Where is the wealth that you have given to Aunty Umm Fazl in Makkah (while leaving for war) (pay the ransom from it). Besides, none of the people knew about it and of course I know that you are the Messenger of Allah.
Virtues:
The Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave many instructions in the virtues and manaqibs of Hazrat Abbas, in which he has blessed you with good news and prayers.

2. It is narrated from Hazrat Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib that I said in the presence of the Prophet: O Messenger of Allah! When the Quraysh meet, Hussein meets with smiling faces, and when they meet with us, they meet with faces we do not know. Hazrat Abbas says: The Messenger of Allah, hearing this, became very glorious and said: By this caste! Faith cannot enter the heart of any person in whose possession is my soul unless Allah Almighty and His Messenger love me for the sake of my kinship.
3. Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas says: The Holy Prophet used to respect Hazrat Abbas as a son respects his father. The Prophet used to give them this distinction because Allaah had made them special among the people.
4. Hazrat Abu Rafi ‘says that the Messenger of Allah said to Hazrat Abbas: O Abu Al-Fazl! You will get so many blessings of Allah Almighty that you will be satisfied.

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: Surely Allah has initiated this work (government and kingdom) from me and will end it on your children.

The place of Hazrat Abbas in the eyes of the Companions:
The Companions used to respect you and give you superiority over themselves:

2. The Companions used to recognize Hazrat Abbas (as) because of his virtue, always giving priority, giving advice and seeking his opinion.

When there was a famine among the people, Hazrat Umar bin Khattab asked for rain through Hazrat Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib and he said: But the rain used to come down and now we present to you the means of our uncle of the Holy Prophet, so send down rain on us. At that time it rained so much that people walked back to their homes in knee-deep water and people started kissing your chador Mubarak with passion (devotion and enthusiasm) and some people started touching your blessed body. Amir al-mu’minin Hazrat Umar bin Khattab prayed in the state that there had been famine for many years in a row, then the cloud irrigated everyone with the help of the bright forehead of Hazrat Abbas. The true God gave life to all the cities with this rain and after despair all the cities became green.
