    We should follow IT to compete with countries: Vice Chancellor

    RAWALPINDI,  (Parliament Times) :Vice Chancellor Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz–Zaman inaugurates the Digital Video Recording Studio at main campus and also launched University’s YouTube Channel, here on Tuesday.

    Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman also inaugurated the newly upgraded University Management System (UMS) to facilitate its students which will not only bring innovative revolution in education system of PMAS-AAUR but will be helpful in its outreach program which are specially design for farmers.

    Vice Chancellor said we have to adopt information Technology so that we can compete with rest of the world. He said that PMAS-AAUR is committed to provide quality education to the young generation. PMAS-AAUR administration is working day and night to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge inevitable for a successful life.

    Through the Student Portal, students can now view their results, attendance and exam numbers online. In addition, Q. Zaman E-Library was inaugurated last year through which students can download all the research papers and books in the world which can help them in their research.

    The UMS Portal main purpose is to manage virtual classroom grid. This facilitate the students and teachers to be connected through text, voice and video for live face to face interaction (discussions and lectures) without any interruption and problems.

    As per the feedback, Faculty members and the students are highly satisfied with the upgraded system, stating that it meet the academic needs, particularly in wake of COVID-19. University Management System is being developed under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman which will play a vital role in making the University Paperless.
