It is the great tragedy that here accuses everything new of being westernized, as a result, neither social scientists nor critical thinkers are born. However, It is believed that the culture is changeable, so it is extremism to refuse new ideas, thinking and their celebration.Today, Valentine’s Day is being celebrated all over the world, however, in Pakistan, this day is given strange names and is prohibited in the name of western conspiracy and threat to faith. And along with other institutions, ban notifications are also issued in educational institutions, and such an extraordinary effort is performed every year by the vice-chancellor of a university in Sindh Karachi, who celebrates the “Haya Day” and kicking out western culture.Students will make brothers and sisters to another and sitting with the opposite gender will not be allowed, if this rule is broken, the security guards in the shape of “Jamiat” will forcibly dispersed to them from there. Anyway, Is there a space to celebrate western days here? The terms used, such as the threat to faith, unfettered, spoilage the youth, and the devastation of the next generation, will do nothing but destroy the ability to think. Our intellectuals who are more confused about taboos’ topics want to see the future generation morally educated. It is a big sin to express one’s liking here, so giving flowers is enethical not then what? Mentally paralyzed, intellectuals are more concerned with ethics, but have you ever imagined that the majority of women are slaughtered in the name of honor? Acid is thrown here on the charming faces of beautiful girls. From Zainab to thousands of innocent girls who are raped here daily, Who stares at Hijabi women?many different thinkers such as Mashal Khan are slain here everyday; most young girls are sexually assaulted here; and respected university professors sexually harass their students here, even though educational institutions are the places where the future of a country is built. These institutions educate the youth and equip them with skills that help them contribute to citizens of society. But in Pakistan, especially in Sindh province, students are being deprived of education. Adding insult to injury, many female students are being punished through acts of sexual harassment.Last month a scandal arosed at a University in Sindh Karachi, where the head of institution/ Vice-Chancellor of the University is found involved in harassing a female member of the syndicate committee and she is also a sitting member of the rolling party of Sindh. Whereas a female MPA is not safe then how could students and female staff of university safe? And recently, a scandal has emerged at PUMHSW Nawab Shah in which a medical final year student Parveen Rand was harassed, threatened and beaten by the Director for refusing to accept illegal relationship demands. Before that, students Naila, Nosheen Kazmi, and Nimarta were murdered by the university and given the name of suicide but she was lucky to be saved from these vultures.Astonishingly, this has been going on for a long with the authorities acting as mere spectators as no proper action has been taken by them. Girls from different areas of the province came here to get an education but they are treated in a way no civilized society would think of. Their respect and their honors are being destroyed. It is not happening as part of the western conspiracy, but by the people of civilized and progressive nations and then they are given the title of a brave man. Here are the graveyards of women who were murdered in the name of honor.to grow enraged when seeing innocent youngsters talking with each other is part of the tradition, is it not even a conspiracy? as a result, it all happening.Higher education institutions are no longer responsible for producing researchers and critical thinkers. the sole worry now is how to morally educate the next generation. For a long time, the melody of ethics has been playing here. Only Ethics is the subject remain to those who do not meet the world’s standards. If values and passions like goodness, ethics, honesty, and truth are taught by lectures then the country should have been free of corruption today according to Zai’s syllabus. All of this is a part of everyday life but who will act? Ethics can only be taught here through narrating great people’s quotations, words, and ways of living. Who will explain to those who label Valentine’s Day a conspiracy, that love is a river that flows in its direction.Valentine’s Day should remain a day of lovers. If “Haya Day” and “Sisters Day” are so much needed then first should give complete rights including the right to speak their opinion and make their own decisions then you can celebrate sister’s day. Otherwise, it’s just hypocrisy nothing else.
