CPNE Delegation Meets with Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar

Lahore,(Parliament Times):A delegation led by President of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) Kazim Khan called on Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar. Punjab government spokesman Hassan Khawar also attended the function. On the occasion, Governor Punjab also distributed health justice cards among the CPNE members and appreciated the role of CPNE in identifying public issues. According to details, besides CPNE President Kazim Khan, a large number of people including Ejaz-ul-Haq, Ayaz Khan, Jamil Athar Qazi, Irshad Ahmed Arif, Tahir Farooq, Yousuf Nizami, Zulfiqar Ahmed Rahat and Zia-ur-Rehman Tanoli were present at the meeting. Members and officials of CPNE Standing Committee were present. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that there is no doubt that CPNE is one of the most important Organization of editors  and I am happy that today I am grateful for your hospitality. He said that the present government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan believes in freedom of media and it is true that the role of media is more important than that of opposition parties because Pakistani media has always been responsible for the development of Pakistan. And in addition to playing its part in stabilizing, it also conveys public issues to the government. Which helps us solve these problems. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that Insaf Health Card is a gift of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the people which is unprecedented in the history of Pakistan. He said that the present government was taking steps to provide maximum facilities to the common man in spite of all the challenges. He said that the health card is a huge public welfare scheme launched by the government which will benefit the population of 22 crore people of Pakistan including Punjab. On this occasion, the Punjab Government Hassan Khawar said that the federal and Punjab governments stand with the journalists and all their problems are being solved on a strategic basis. And we are happy that today the members of CPNE are also benefiting from the health card and joining the new ones. He said that Health Justice Card is a revolutionary step of the government in the field of health.
