BEIJING: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said CPEC projects have changed Pakistan economic landscape.

The two sides reviewed the progress of ongoing CPEC projects during the meeting and exchanged views on preparations of future steps in connection with CPEC.
PM Imran Khan said that the strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China is all weather, time tested and timeless. Despite corona virus the work on all the projects of CPEC moved ahead gradually due to joint cooperation from both sides.
CPEC is of strategic importance both for Pakistan and China under belt and road flagship project, he said adding CPEC project is providing solid benefits to the people of both Pakistan and China.
Reiterating his resolve for timely completion of CPEC and high quality development he said CPEC elementary phase projects have transformed Pakistan economic landscape. This project has laid robust foundation of durable economic development. Both the countries will continue their efforts for making Gawadar hub of regional trade and industry. They will give preference to LM one other key projects of energy.
Chairman NRDC said China attaches much importance to Pakistan and is determined for its stable progress and development. China has become the largest partner of Pakistan in investment and trade during the last seven years.
Expressing China’s readiness to assist Pakistan in the areas of industrialization, agricultural modernization, science, technology and socio-economic development, the Chairman of Chinese Commission said all relevant Chinese institutions would continue their efforts to encourage Chinese public and private enterprises for investment in CPEC projects.
In this regard, both sides decided to establish new green, digital, health, trade and industry corridors, which would enhance sector-wise cooperation in these areas.
During the meeting, both sides also welcomed the signing of the Framework Agreement on Industrial Cooperation between Pakistan’s Board of Investment and China’s NDRC to facilitate relocation of China’s industrial units to CPEC special economic zones and accelerate investment from China and elsewher
