JKLF forms Central Election Commission led by senior party leaders

RAWALPINDI,   (Parliament Times) : JKLF in an informal meeting of senior party leaders presided over by the head of Central Convening Committee Mr. Khawaja Saifudin decided to hold the central convention of the Supreme Council and announced the Central Election Commission. The meeting was attended by Muhammad Rafiq Dar, Sardar Javed Hanif, Saleem Haroon, Sajid Siddiqi and Sardar Muhammad Anwar Khan while as senior party leaders Hafiz Muhammad Anwar Samavi, Raja Haqnawaz Khan, Khawaja Manzoor Ahmed Chishti and Abdul Shakoor Abid Gilgiti were later consulted on phone.

According to the details provided to media by party’s chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar issued from JKLF Central Information Office, JKLF has formed Central Election Commission led by senior party leader and member Supreme Council Mr. Azam Zia with member Supreme Council and President JKLF AJK-GB Zone Mr. Sajid Siddiqi, senior party leader Mr. Saleem Butt, senior veteran party leader Mr. Sawar Khan Saduzai and senior party leader Mr. Mushtaq Malik as its members.

On the directions of Khawaja Saifudin, the decision was reached after the zonal presidents along with other senior party leaders, who happen to be supreme council members, from different zones were taken into the confidence, the spokesman added.

According to the spokesman, it was further decided that, after the reorganization process, the first meeting of the party’s Supreme Council shall be held on Sunday, the 30th January, 2022 at 3 pm (PST) at Central Information Office wherein the Central Party Structure shall be elected.

Khawaja Saifudin directed the newly established Central Election Commissioner Mr. Azam Zia to announce the election schedule accordingly so that the Supreme Council meeting is held in time, the spokesman said.
