MUZAFFARABAD, (Parliament Times) : Buildings in AJK will be made under building code with planning and steps would be taken to introduce satellite monitoring system and other measures for the protection of forests and green belt. Immediate steps would be taken for the rehabilitation of Jammu and Kashmir refugees 1989 and other facilities including housing will be provided to them.
This was decided in a high level meeting was held here on yesterday under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of AJK Shakeel Qadir Khan, in connection with the decision of the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and on the direction of the Prime Minister of AJK Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi.
It was decided that the satellite monitoring system will be used for the protection of Forest and construction code. Google system would be used until the SPARCO system is installed.
It was also decided that all the Municipal Committees would prepare a master plan for their respective areas which already have a master plan of CDO and ensure its implementation. The Board of Revenue has already identified the area for the resettlement of refugees and now the resettlement work of the refugees will be started immediately with the help of Naya Pakistan Housing Authority. The land will be provided by AJK government while the finance will be provided by the government of Pakistan.
The Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir directed all departments to start work on these projects immediately. He informed that the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in which the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi and other concerned officials including Federal Ministers were present.
The Chief Secretary said that Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has also issued immediate instructions in this regard.
Additional Chief Secretary General Syed Asif Hussain, SMBR Ehsan Khalid Kayani, Secretary Finance Esmatullah Shah, Secretary Local Government Ejaz Ahmad Khan, Secretary PND Muhammad Bashir Butt, Member Board of Revenue Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain and other officials attended the meeting.
