    PM urges officials to ensure implementation of development projects

    MUZAFFARABAD/ MIRPUR  (AJK), (Parliament Times) :The Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has underlined the need for extending quality education to the students and to Improve the administrative affairs of the medical colleges. Presiding over a high level meeting with reference to the medical colleges here on Tuesday, he said that under construction buildings of medical colleges should be completed within the stipulated time and equal fee structure of three medical colleges should be introduced. The Prime Minister said that the government would provide resources to solve the problems of medical colleges but no negligence would be tolerated and implementation of financial discipline in colleges should be ensured. He said that regular meetings of the governing body should be arranged and timely approval of the budget from the relevant forums should also be obtained. The Prime Minister urged the officials to implement development projects and its timely completion should be ensured. He said before starting any project, its feasibility and planning should be done keeping in view the future requirements. He said that the government would take all measures including providing funds to solve the problems of colleges.The meeting was attended by the Secretary Health Major General Ahsan Altaf Satti, Principal Secretary Zafar Mahmood Khan and Heads of Medical Colleges. The Secretary Health and Heads of Medical Colleges briefed the Prime Minister about the budget, infrastructure and issues of the colleges. Meanwhile a meeting with reference to the cadet college was held here on Tuesday, the Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi was in the chair. The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Dr Liaquat Hussain Chaudhry, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Zafar Mehmood Khan and concerned officials . Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister called upon the officials to devote their energies to bring Cadet College in the forefront colleges of the country and added that The government will provide full support for the betterment of the cadet college. He said that besides extending education and training to the students, attention should also be paid for the character building of the students. .
