Noor Khan Bakhrani Tangwani
It’s paramount to state that Tangwani town has got taluka status some 17 years ago in the year 2004 when the then Chief Minister of Sindh Arab Ghulam Raheem notified new districts in Sindh province. Resultantly, Jacobabad was bifurcated into two new districts named Kashmore at Kandh Kot and Jacobabad. Tangwani town was made Taluka of newly created district Kashmore. From the day first Tangwani got the status of Taluka up till now no any basic facility was given to this town. Tangwani is replete with various problems like quality education, ruined roads, unannounced load-shedding of electricity, law and order, but today I would like to discuss about major health issues posing to the poor masses of Taluka Tangwani. It’s very unfortunate that the status of Rural Health Centre has not been changed even after being Taluka headquarter. Why the poor patients of Tangwani are deprived of modern health facilities in 21st century? The poor citizens are asking Sindh govt and electables why so far the Rural Health Centre established in town Tangwani is not upgraded as Taluka Civil Hospital? Pakistan Peoples Party is ruling in Sindh province for its consecutive third term but no proper attention was paid for improvement and upgradation of hospitals established in remote areas to facilitate the local people for better health care. Unfortunately, the leadership of PPP every time gets vote and support under the party manifesto of “Roti, Kapra aor Makan” and achieved the reins of government in the name of martyrs but after being elected they do not address the basic problems facing to their poor voters. The condition of health facilities in govt run hospitals is that even there is no syringe or Panadol tablet available for poor patients. Either medicine is not provided by health department govt of or medicines and life saving drugs are sold out by corrupt administration. This apathy and ignorance of ruling class towards the solution of genuine problems made people very disappointed and masses have now no trust on public sector hospitals in throughout Sindh province because on one-side doctors are not properly examining the patients there; on the other-hand no any medication is available. So patients are no more interested to get treatment from govt side doctors working in public sector hospitals. Even the poor prefer to go to private hospitals for check up and better treatment. We earnestly request to Syed Murad Ali Shah Chief Minister Sindh and madam Azra Pechooho Minister health department to redress the grievances of masses of Taluka Tangwani and issue orders for upgradation of RHC to Taluka Civil Hospital at the earliest.
