Lahore: Governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, met Deputy Leader of Labour Party UK Angela Rayner and Lord Wajid Khan at Governor House Lahore. Angela Rayner and Lord Wajid Khan praised Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts for Afghan peace, while Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar asked Angela and Wajid Khan to play a role for peace and economic stability in Afghanistan.
According to the details Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar met Deputy Leader of Labour Party Angela Rayner and Lord Wajid Khan on Friday. During the meeting Pak-UK relations, economic situation and peace in Afghanistan, current situation in the region and other issues including Kashmir issue were discussed. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar also apprised Angela Rayner and Lord Wajid Khan of the ongoing Indian atrocities in Kashmiris. Deputy Leader of Labour Party Angela Rainer and Lord Wajid Khan praised Pakistan’s role in eradicating terrorism and for peace and stability in Afghanistan and commended their efforts and pledged to play a role in Afghan peace and economic stability.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar appreciated the services rendered by Lord Wajid Khan and overseas Pakistanis for the country and nation and said that there is a strong representation of Pakistanis in both the houses of the United Kingdom. He added that the overseas Pakistanis from all around the world, including in the UK, should raise their voices for peace and economic stability in Afghanistan so that Afghanistan can be saved from any human tragedy. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that if the world leaves Afghanistan alone at this critical juncture, then nothing will be left for the world except regrets, so the United States and other countries should reconsider their policy towards Afghanistan and also announce unconditional aid on humanitarian grounds in order to save Afghanistan from economic crisis. He said that the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan will have an impact not only on Pakistan or the region but on the whole world. Therefore, aid to Afghanistan should not be delayed in any way. He said that Pakistan, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, is working on the front line for Afghan peace and economic stability.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar told the British delegation about the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and the worst violation of human rights and termed it a tragedy. He deplored the gross human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir and said that the Innocent Kashmiris are being massacred and genocide is being carried out. The world should take notice of these heinous atrocities and terrorism of Indian forces. Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions, he added.
