Govt should clarify how agreement was again made with default company of Singapore for delivery of LNG cargo: Sherry Rehman
ISLMABAD: PPP vice president Senator Sherry Rehman has said Singapore company had failed in providing LNG cargo in November and it should be clarified by the government how the agreement was again signed with the default company.
“There are information Singapore company will not be able to deliver LNG cargo on January 10. In November this company had not delivered cargo. Government should explain how the agreement was signed with a default company again.
She remarked country is already facing gas crisis due to government ineptness. The gas demand is the highest in the month of January. The delay in delivery of LNG cargo will aggravate the crisis more.
The Tabahi sarkar could not ensure supply of gas despite purchasing the costliest gas in the history of country, she said adding the gas supply is suspended to industry besides domestic consumers.
